Additional Info Fluid mixed media wall drawings capture landscape fragments and memories of home by Russian immigrant Masha Ryskin. Atmospheric and architectural spaces become inundated by natural forces in the elegant drawings by Bryce Speed.
Ryskin’s drawings depict elements of an imaginary landscape. The images are based on her memories of places that are of importance to her, addressing her experiences as an immigrant.
Speed’s moderate size drawings use imagery of water that has invaded private architectural space. He considers these works as metaphorical comments of an outsider’s view of “home”
